Start with one matching material
The tool counts complete retail units or declared matching thread metres. For selected Mouliné,the declared skein length is8m. If the buyer chooses a25m target and holds3m on the same supported bundle basis,22m more are wanted. Three whole8m skeins add24m,leaving27m and2m above the chosen target.
The target is not a consumption forecast
The25m figure is the buyer’s chosen stock quantity,not a prediction that a design needs25m or will finish with that amount. The tool does not calculate stitches per metre,strand-use ratios,tails or waste. It cannot approve a pattern’s material requirement or turn a partial bobbin into a measured remaining length.
Keep Pearl provisional
On the selected retailer’s25m declaration,a60m target with10m held would need two whole units to add50m and reach60m. That arithmetic remains conditional on the put-up. The cross-source15m difference must be clarified against the actual current band before relying on the selected length for an order.
Fabric has another unit
The Aida record supports whole precut-piece counts,not linear thread metres. A fabric-length request returns unknown instead of assigning30cm or46cm as a thread-equivalent pack length. Quantity two also is not automatically one continuous larger cut. Unknown or unsupported units must be refused rather than guessed.
Check the boundaries
Blank,negative,fractional,exponent and out-of-range counts are rejected;the supported arithmetic uses whole counts or whole declared metres up to one million per field. The upper limit is not a recommended order volume or supplier capacity. Actual labels,stock and checkout remain separate. No stock data is sent to a retailer or used to place an order.
